The Giza cotton plant, a variety unique to the Nile Valley, produces the highest quality cotton fibers in the world. What makes them so exceptional?

Each fiber is at least 32mm long (compared to 22 mm for some varieties). Why does this matter? With fewer connection points between fibers, there are fewer opportunities for breakage and an overall smoother feel.
